I would consider a credit as 3-4 hours of studying/homework/in-class instruction a week during a 16-week semester. That gives us 8*3*16/10 = 38.4 hours a week over 10 weeks.. Which sounds about right to me. Though the two are very different kinds of classes. Think about how much time you've spent on prior programming and math courses.
